Description from Architect
The campus at Goldrick Elementary school, a learning landscape, incorporates the larger concept that systems are comprised of interconnected parts, such as cogs within machinery, letters within words, and stars and planets within the solar system. As part of the learning landscape design paradigm, the school grounds also function as a neighborhood park, complete with shade structure, seating, and grass play fields. The project scope included design development through project closeout. Concrete art by artist Rik Sargent expresses the planets of the solar system.
