Description from Architect
Fallis Elementary school was designed as a learning landscape, a design concept that incorporates participatory learning elements with recreational play. The design focused on the idea of nuerons and the inter-conection of parts of a system. The site also functions as a park for the surrounding neighborhood. This neighborhood is in transition from older people without children to younger people with young children. The hopes of the school are that this new playground will entice new families to become engaged with the school and send their kids here. The project scope included design development through project closeout
