Learning Landscapes Description
The original geometric grid was redesigned due to the proximity of the Platte River – a river system theme incorporated existing features into a more imaginative and complex plan.

Vision
The schoolyard will reflect the identity of the school as a community touchstone and vehicle of neighborhood collaboration. It will celebrate co-operation between students and within the community, showcasing the diversity of the school and neighborhood.
Goals
- Unite the three play areas as a cohesive, dynamic and interconnected schoolyard.
- Leverage the social and welcoming function of the schoolyard and front lawn.
- Create flexible spaces for multiple uses that respond to changing needs.
- Improve the ECE play equipment and increase play options.
- Integrate learning elements and educational opportunities into playground.
- Create pleasing, safe and supervisable microenvironments (rectify drainage, ice, hidden corners, etc.)
